The Tyburn offers a COVID-19 PCR Swab test to determine whether you have a current Coronavirus infection. We do not offer an in house swab test, this must be taken at home or Dr Hazell can visit you at home to complete in a Covid-19 secure way. You can expect your results within 48 hours.
At the time of the swab, you will also have a brief video or phone consultation with Dr Adam Hazell. He will discuss any symptoms you might be experiencing and likely exposure to ensure the test is taken at the appropriate time. Once the results are in, Dr Hazell will discuss these with you.
We provide the Abbott COVID-19 antibody test that has been well tested and validated and offers the highest level of accuracy. This detects the IgG antibody to the SARS-CoV-2 and indicates whether you have already had the virus.
Can you provide a COVID-19 test certificate for travel?
UK travellers require a travel certificate showing proof of a negative Antigen PCR test to enter certain countries or to avoid quarantine on arrival. We can provide written documentation of your test results. Turnaround on test results is usually 48 hours if you require evidence of a COVID-19 negative result for travel purposes, so please check the guidelines specific to your destination.
Do I have to come into the clinic for a COVID-19 test?
You are not permitted to come into the practice for a COVID-19 test as you should be self-isolating at home. However, Dr Hazell is able to send a swab test to your house or visit you personally to conduct the test. He will attend under full COVID-19 secure measures.
